18th Annual Swimming Gala 2025

The colorful Swimming Gala was held on 21 September 2025 in a festive and vibrant atmosphere. The event was graced by our esteemed chief guest, Mrs. Talia Burki, a valued donor of CMTB. We also invited Ms. Rihanna, an alumna of our school, renowned as the best rifle shooter and winner of the National Rifle Championship in 1960s. The sparkling blue pool water enhanced the beauty and festivity of the occasion, while the presence of participants’ mothers made the event even more meaningful. The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by an exciting series of swimming competitions.
The event featured a variety of races, including board race, freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, dolphin, coin race, balloon race, and relay race. Almost 45 students from Prep to 10th grade participated wholeheartedly. At the end of the ceremony, Ms. Marria addressed the audience and emphasized the importance of swimming, especially at a time when the country is facing floods.
Our chief guest, Mrs. Talia, appreciated the students and said, “Swimming is very important in the early years of life. I enjoyed all the races, and I especially admire your training and discipline. And MashAllah your school is very Lovely, the beautiful campus with lots of trees, the lively, well-behaved children....I enjoyed the experience. We all appreciate and pray for Dr Amin grandfather 's precious legacy, may it continue till the end of times and may we all contribute and gain reward through it, Aameen.
She also highlighted the importance of encouraging children to develop such healthy habits from an early age.She encouraged the participants to continue practicing regularly to further improve their skills. She also emphasized that such healthy activities build confidence, teamwork, and lifelong fitness habits. She presented prizes to the winners and warmly commended the event, appreciating the efforts of both students and organizers. Mrs. Talia congratulated all the participants for their dedication and sportsmanship, and concluded with the inspiring words, ‘I look forward to seeing you excel in future events. Goodie bags were also distributed to the winners by our chief guest, which were warmly appreciated by the students. At the end, guests were served with juices.
The ceremony concluded on a high note, filled with joy, encouragement, and a spirit of achievement. The inspiring words of our chief guest, along with the enthusiasm of the participants, made the event truly memorable. The dedication of the organizers, teachers, and students was evident throughout the program, reflecting the discipline and teamwork that swimming instills.
Results In the board race for prep girls and boys, the 1st position was secured by Fabeeha, 2nd by Abdul Rafay, and 3rd by Qasim.In the board race for junior girls, Aaila took 1st position, Areeshay 2nd, and Zainab 3rd. In the board race for junior boys, Abbas won 1st position, Muhammad Ali Umer 2nd, and Hazim 3rd. The freestyle race winners were Maaz, Arsalan, and Mantasha from prep classes; Shanzay, Abrish, and Mariyam from junior school; and Fahad, Moeez, and Khizar from senior boys. In the underwater race, Raniya, Yashfa, and Ume Abiha were the winners from the senior girls’ school, while Fahad, Khizar, and Moeez were the winners from the senior boys’ school.
In the breaststroke race, the winners were Raniya, Yashfa, Anaya, Rahim, Moeez, and Fahad.
